What can I say.....I am beyond excited to be working with Kristen and Max on their upcoming wedding in Savannah, GA!   That historic town is a photographer's dream!  We had such a great time doing their engagement shoot - it is so clear to me how much they adore one another....they sure did make my job easy!

Congratulations Kristen and Max - September 21st will be here before you know it!!

Congratulations to Danielle and Kasey - an awesome couple whose wedding day is quickly approaching!  For those of you who may not know, I am partners in a studio located in Orlando, FL (nu visions in photography) and fly down there several times each year to shoot weddings with my business partner, Curt Littlecott.  (and on occasion.....he flies up here to Indy to shoot weddings too!)  On my last trip to Orlando, Curt and I worked with Danielle and Kasey on their fun engagement shoot - what a fabulous couple who are oh-so-in-love!!

We are so excited to be a part of their wedding day team this coming Oct. 5th at the Vinoy and Museum of Art in downtown St. Petersburg, FL.

To kick off 2013....I had the good fortune to work with one of the best families I know.  Butch and Jan West have been incredibly influential in my life since I was a teenager.....and no - I am not going to say how old I am....let's just say I have known them for several years.  :)

I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their family in January.  Jan went to Butler so it was only fitting that we did this shoot on campus.  Again - they all braved the cold....I believe it was one of the coldest days for January....a balmy 20 degrees with a windchill of 10.   The chilly air sure kept things moving along and we were all thinking of warm, sandy beaches in our heads. 

As I've said in the past...I truly love getting a few moments in between the clicks....those are my favorites...such real emotion.   I also love watching everyone interact together - there's nothing quite like the bond of a loving and faithful family.

Thank you West family for trusting me to get these images for you.  Thank you also for being so wonderful to me for so very long....I treasure you more than you know.

The Dancer, Smoot and Perry Families at Butler University with stephanie nicole photography

It's all about family with this great group of people!!  Bob and Linda Smoot have raised 2 fabulous girls (Jodie and Julie) who have married equally fantastic men (Craig and Bradley).  Out of these marriages came 4 lovely young ladies and together....this is one pretty awesome family!  Jodie, Brad and their girls traveled from Washington DC and Julie and Craig and their girls came from San Diego and we all met up on the campus of Butler University for a fun-filled (and freezing!) photo shoot!  Hard to tell that it was snowing and about 20 degrees in these photos, isn't it?  

This was a great way to wrap up 2012.....I love working with families and creating images that become their history...and I love that I was able to work with these three incredible families!!

If you haven't been able to tell yet, I am a huge lover of "unscripted" images.....the moments that happen between the clicks.   Everyone always expects to look directly at me so that is what they do...then the minute they think I am done, they relax and that is when the real magic happens.  The Jamrok family is a prime example of this.  I had such a great time working with Marcy, Steve and their three fabulous kiddos in downtown Crown Point.  What an incredibly loving family!!!  I love that each of these images has a little story to tell....but I must say that the one that makes me giggle quite a bit is the third photo...check out the kids' facial expressions....priceless!!!  (especially the youngest one's - she is so over it!)

The Shank Family Shoot in downtown Oak Park, IL with stephanie nicole photography

Have I mentioned lately just how much I love what I do??  Getting to work with so many great families...especially around the Holidays just puts a huge smile on my face.  Working with the Shank family was so much fun!  Dana, Dave, Sam and Susie live in Oak Park, IL...a great little town just outside of Chicago - a must see if you are ever up in the area!  The goal was to get a good photo of Sam and Susie to be used for the annual Christmas card....well....I do believe we achieved that and got a few bonus images of the whole family as well!

The fabulous Spoerle family....I have had such fun getting to know this great family over the last few years....working with Kurt and his team at Talk to Tucker and shooting Phil's senior session....they are all full of love and life, that is for certain!  Add in the fact that they are just beautiful...all of their smiles are infectious and genuine....they all have a way of making you feel comfortable the minute you meet them!  Kurt and Vickie have done a tremendous job raising Ella, Sam and Phil....this family is a fantastic representation of unconditional love, faith and a whole lot of fun!

I had a blast doing their family shoot for them over Thanksgiving weekend...you can't even tell that it was about 20 degrees outside during this shoot - they were all such great troopers!!!  

Thanks for your trust Spoerle family - I look forward to working with you for many years to come!!

Katie and John's Zionsville Wedding with stephanie nicole photography

A little rain didn't stop this loving couple from enjoying their romantic, intimate wedding on November 3rd!  It was a true privilege to be a part of Katie and John's wedding day for two reasons....first - they are just the sweetest couple ever, and second...Katie's dad was the minister at my church during my high school years....and he left quite an impact on me.  It meant the world to me that they asked me to photograph their special day.   I also loved that Glenn (Katie's dad) performed the ceremony in the very church he started so many years ago.  (Zionsville Presbyterian Church)

A very heartfelt congratulations to Katie and John....I know your married life will be richly blessed beyond measure.

The Plake family....now this is a family who has some fun and has a bond that is undeniable!  I had such a wonderful time working with them on their family shoot in downtown Zionsville....  I look forward to continuing our relationship over many years!!

Anna's Senior Session with stephanie nicole photography

Ahh...the oh-so-lovely Anna....talk about a beautiful young lady!!  I had a blast working with her on her senior session....and we even got some bonus images of her and her sisters together....and their mom too!!

Clearly Anna is a natural in front of the camera - I could have photographed her all day long!  Her infectious smile and fabulous sense of humor made our afternoon together so much fun!

Congratulations on the start of your senior year Anna....I know you're going to take the world by storm....you have such amazing things ahead of you!
